Yesterday I wrote a blog regarding getting the VeeDub Bus back into my life. A new engine installed now. So raring to get out there, chill in the Vibe and increase blog subject material to write about.
Today? Decided to provide my ‘page’ link below dedicated to showing all the blogs together in one place that were written about the progress of the renovation. Easy access. Anyone interested in VeeDub Buses may find it useful. The page has box links to my blogs showing both words and photographs about the renovation story.
Also, I am a member of an enthusiasts’ site for Early Volkswagen Type 2 Bay Buses. A lot of exchanges were made with other members during the days, months to years of renovation with other members. Themed problem inclusions we’re discussed. Still are really. I found, and still find, it really helpful getting advice from other members. They had/have fantastic insight and knowledge which was/is priceless. Also, Paul, who renovated the VeeDub was really knowledgeable too. It helps to find guidance and not waste time, money and your patience. Quirky things VeeDub Buses!
If you are interested in getting an old VeeDub, or any old vintage item for that matter, enthusiast sites are a great resource for advice and knowledge. From fountain pens, guitars and to coffee making techniques with old equipment, I have found answers to problems from members.
Billie Bud, the VeeDub’s moniker, is soon to be 51 years old. So it’s a challenge to keep her going. It is a ‘Keeping the Bus Alive’ scenario. That’s where I got my theme ‘Keeping the Fountain Pens Alive’. Vintage items need TLC.
