My wife Angie always loves this time of year for her shop vibe. It simply buzzes. Not only the local community enjoy this iconic event. Lots of visitors are now aware of this hugely successful festival too. It’s simply grown and grown over the years. We thought it would be a simple affair on year one. But something happened to really make it take off. Faerie dust probably. And fantastic positivity vibes.
So I thought I would create a link to highlight the fun times had. There are more videos of other years too, but I really like this 2017 one. Some really high end comics love the festival. Come back year after year. Have a gander on the link below.

enchanting was the first word that popped into my head. then comforting, to see all the kind, happy faces. no word for toilet paper guy.

Toilet paper guy! Made me smile when I saw that image. I uploaded this one as it is a great positivity experience cookie. Machynlleth is a place that we initially visited when on our visits to a farm we frequented a number of times each year. We had a mobile caravan home in a field. Beginning this journey way back in the 1970s. I bought my first potter’s smock from Machynlleth. Eventually, in 1995, we moved to this area. We don’t live in Machynlleth. It is about 10 miles away. But it is our local town. The Centre for Alternative Technology has been around since the 1960s and has been the whole philosophy of the town ever since. You could say ‘Hippy’ in the beginning of it all. Machynlleth is an ancient town drenched in Welsh culture. It is the community spirit that makes it so welcoming for visitors too. And spirit can be seen in many other activities within the area. Hopefully I can put together a few gigs for Frail Autumn in the future. Funnily enough, I have never attended the comedy festival. My nurse role was always one of shifts that clashed. So pleased you liked the vibe seen on this YouTube video. All the best cookie.

I loved the map on the windows Gray. But I wonder if there’s not an opportunity for you to play/sing at the Festival… but maybe not, since it’s comedy

Hi Brenda. I think it can be all sorts of music, not just comedic. Machynlleth is one of those places where you go and sit in gardens, park, cafe grounds, etc. any time of the year when an event is on and somebody is playing in some manner. We have a Peruvian Musicians festival as one of the major musical events. Ed Sheeran used to play outside Angie’s old shop from time to time. It’s a kind of good vibe situation that exists. Hope you are well Brenda. All the best.
