The song on the video below isn’t mixed properly yet. But it gives you an idea of where it is going. I kind of like this one.
I dragged up the ‘I dreamed I saw her face….. etc.’ lyrics from a song I wrote after splitting from music and the band situation in and around 1982/3-ish.
Sold my Bass guitar and became a potter basically.
I liked the idea of ‘I dreamed I saw her face, come floating through the wind of time’ and almost wrote it into the poetry inclusions from my little booklet called ‘The Circle of Five’.
Little bit of a different melody from the original intended one. But I liked the words, so made them fit this song.
If you do listen to the song on this video…..it’s always better with headphones 🎧 really. You tend to get at the song’s depth.
Cheers. And in anticipation…..thank you for taking the time to listen.
Good luck with the new song, Gray

Thanks Brenda. I’ll leave it on hold awhile and revisit it for remixing down the line. It’s a bit of a jumbled sound currently. There’s a few more new songs I’d like to focus on and get them started.
A few months back, it was a decision to slow down. Chill out a bit. Hope you are keeping well still.
Cheers. 🙏🏽🍁🍂

Hi cookie. That’s really good that you got the vibe and connected. It means so much. Yesterday I was telling Ol’ Shep from Australia, a blogging harp/harmonica musician friend, that I couldn’t get the vocals right on this one. Emotionally, the whole sound was just ‘Meh!’. This morning it kind of changed and suddenly felt comfortable and singing naturally just fell into place.
I just finished swapping the initial video upload for an updated version. One of the instrumental tracks had a keyboard part called ‘Polymetric Structures’ which was high in the balance and caused a chaotic jumble type mess of sound.
So I took it down a fair bit volume wise. If you would be kind enough to take another listen, you can hopefully spot the cleaner sound.
So pleased you are taking time to visit. I always welcome your views.
All the best cookie. Again…..so pleased you dropped by and listened. 💫✨

Cheers Shep. Last cigar I bought cost about £12. I’d found a beautiful soft leather travel wallet in a charity shop for a fiver. It had a Winston Churchill stainless steel tube inside for a decent sized single cigar and a same sized tube ‘hip flask’ for whiskey. Looked on the internet and the wallet sold new for well over a £100. I bought a cigar circle scissor to put in there too.
The guy in the tobacconist shop said ‘You can’t put any old cigar in there’. Some prices he said he had were eye watering. So….I bought the cheapest. Smoked it a few Christmases ago.
All the best Shep. 🙏🏽🍁🍂
