There is a considered simplicity in using ‘The Den’ as a space that enormously contributes to realising a more peaceful mind.
To be honest, it is basically a place to envelop calm and to find the therapeutic vibes in all the interests of script writing, watercolour painting, reading books of both fiction and medical nature, listening to music, picking up and playing and recording various musical instruments, using a variety of Complementary Therapy influences (Aromatherapy/Tuning Forks/Mindfulness mediation/Reflection). A place to take coffee or tea, sit comfortably…and simply breathe.

Also found a poem by Waldo Williams called ‘Medi’. Written with a fountain pen by someone who must have admired the poet’s work. It was hidden behind the bureau’s drawer.

Reflection, currently, is an amazing daily inclusion. Its first observation goes into the subsequent 6 ‘R’ considerations. I wrote this down in order to follow a planned regime.
The Dried Leaves …… these are to be photographed for a CD cover and page inserts. Lyrics to surround each leaf chosen for individual songs.

Choose a question……
‘How to approach recording daily to weekly to monthly to year by year information in my own handmade and bought notebooks/covers and change the confusion of what once was in order to make it simpler’.
The Seven ‘R’s’… … . as written by Gray Summers….
Reflect = acknowledge that the past is unchangeable
Review = what was good. what was not so good
Reconsider = keep the simplicities of those small successes
Rearrange = ideas and ideals from the ‘nearly, but not quite’ hoped for successes
Repair = build new ideas and ideals and place them amongst these reconsiderations
Restore = keep faith in the knowledge that existing in life still requires the simplicity of existing to be true and committed to any future undertaking
Rebirth = there is now a new opportunity that exists and one that can still realise a brighter, shining future
The phrase to keep as a Mantra? Another 3 ‘R’s’.
Be Resilient. Be Remarkable. But stay Respectful.

Currently there is an undertaking of recording my fountain pen acquisitions and keeping a sense of memory by writing down theme or item lists. Here it is below.

I have been making Traveller notebook covers recently. I have given a few away made from an old leather satchel I cut up and used. I have also been adapting old diaries and other books to convert into notebook covers. Currently, having received a metal eyelet/grommet kit, so that the holes that have the notebook retaining elastic running through them are being strengthened.
Once again, images can be tapped to enlarge. Cheers.
