Script. Therapy with Ink and a Flourish of Nib Sweep.

OM, Petal Focus and the pachyderm, tusker, mammoth, or mastodon guardian. Which? You decide. Me? Elephant…..

TWO BLOGS FOR TODAY. GARDENING AND SCRIPT.

Recently I feel the need to split focus from the all encompassing songwriting and recording my music application and do a bit of gardening and script writing. Apply again the continuing purpose of biodiversity, nature ruling its own ways to realise balance within the garden and grow salad/vegetable/fruit results within the eco friendly/organic gardening philosophical ideal.

Alongside. Apply some self therapy working with pen, ink and, ultimately, script. To adopt once again, as said…therapeutically, the freedom to write with no specific purpose in mind. Read again the beautiful books that have others’ script art to draw influences from.

Also. The music to tap into allows a trio of therapeutic uptakes.

Garden, Script, Music = Nice Vibes.

However. Need a little plan. Frankie the Fella, the very needy kitten/cat, needs to find a few of his own little hobbies. And NOT chasing beautiful little bumble bees in the garden as one of them……

NOT MY SCRIPT IN THESE FOURTEEN PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW. BUT PURE INSPIRATION TO FOLLOW THEIR VIBE. I HAVE MANY BOOKS WITH THIS FORM OF ART EXPRESSION WITH LETTERING TO REVISIT.

YOU CAN TOUCH ANY SMALL PHOTOGRAPH TO ENLARGE FOR A CLOSER LOOK. CHEERS.

BELOW ARE EXAMPLES OF MY OWN THERAPEUTIC CHASE IN THE FREEDOM OF CREATING ‘INK LINES’. I HAVE A ‘PAGE’ ON MY BLOG SITE HERE DEDICATED TO WRITING AND DOODLING. LINK AT END OF THIS BLOG.

AGAIN, ANY SMALL PHOTOGRAPH CAN BE TAPPED TO ENLARGE. THANK YOU.

BELOW IS THE LINK TO THE WRITING AND DOODLING PAGE.

MANY, MANY EXAMPLES ON THIS PAGE LINK BELOW OF FREE EXPRESSION AND NOT THINKING DEEPLY……

JUST DAWDLING AND DOODLING.

A LONG OLD SCROLL AT SOME EXAMPLES OF WRITING AND DOODLING FOR PURE FUN…….

ALSO A LINK TO A BLOG I WROTE REGARDING ‘DIP NIBS’.

  1. amazing. I’m convinced I would’ve learned reading and writing faster — with less kicking and screaming — if my teacher had just handed me Gray’s alphabet from the start.

    1. You always make me smile cookie with your cute way of expressiveness. So thank you for this. My secondary schooldays in the 1960s were a joy, in reflection, in that fountain pen and ink were the only way we could write. No biros allowed in a ‘posh’ school. I won a place there with an exam called the ‘11 plus’. My first Osmiroid fountain pen with fine italic nib (and only pen) was my whole schooldays’ experience for script. I still have it.

I would love to see you use a fountain pen for your own lyrics cookie. Or….maybe an old vintage typewriter, pitter patter tippy tapping out your poetic lyrical content. What a joy to behold alongside your melodies. Synergy. Energy.

Glad I uploaded the script ideal blog now. No more kicking and screaming is a fantastic therapeutic result. Albeit a few years late. 😊

      All the best cookie.

      1. Hi cookie. Hello too. I’ve been away for a fair few days. Got back earlier this evening. Did listen to your new album on Bandcamp a couple of days ago. Only managed one listen through it all though. Brilliant. Sounds like a winner again. Now I’m back home I will sort out the link in my new ‘Bandcamp artist’s log in’ tomorrow to purchase it. It’s my new Frail Autumn site, so it will need a few additions set up to purchase songs, etc.

It was a fantastic surprise getting the email link from Bandcamp to access and hear your new work. Will listen over all the songs again tomorrow. Cheers and all the best cookie. 💫

      2. It’s nice to have set this up now on my Frail Autumn site. Makes life easier. Took a second listen too of your new album. Such great songs cookie. Looking at getting an MP3 iPod. Be good if I can download transfer the albums to that format. No need to keep going into Bandcamp to listen. cookie music and others too on the spin choice of an iPod wheel. Glorious. Cheers cookie. 💫

  2. I love your “THERAPEUTIC CHASE IN THE FREEDOM OF CREATING ‘INK LINES’.” More than what’s in the books, Gray. And Frankie Fella is just doing what comes naturally to him. The bees will learn. Or he will learn. Nature just being. Grand lessons to observe.
I hear you about reaching for this pen outlet versus music. OM indeed.

    1. Cheers Sheila. I have to think differently currently. Hence the pens and a bit of gardening. I always think that stuff has to be chased and achieved by yesterday. No tomorrows exist in realising getting things done at all.

Frankie has the natural instincts of a hunter breed. The harness and lead length calculations at times allows me to stop him getting at the Wren (in the dry hedge), the Robin and the Blue Tits. All nesting.

Angie has an App identifying bird song source. Within five minutes of App listening, about a dozen different bird species were identified. Bees you have to just be aware of. They just are not scared of cats. Also. Not sure if cats who are stung can have bicarbonate of soda applied for bee stings. Vinegar for the potential Wasps’ stings when the apples fall is worse!

      All the best Sheila.

  3. Oh, yes, I remember being stung by a wasp when I was barely a teen. But again I say, it’s all nature. Think different is a good thing. We can rise above our feeling the tug to Control. Though I know it is ingrained in most. Conditioned. Programmed.
I’m always on the lookout for when I feel that urge. I was just trying to control the weeds on my Facebook page. Ha!

    1. My son is allergic to wasp stings and would need anaphylactic treatment if stung. Happened when a child. Bad reaction and hospital need. Hence I do worry regards wasps and bees. And ticks. And of course, when nursing, I saw very many patients with acute reactions on the ward. Asthma attacks, Lymes Disease symptoms, Latex intolerance, Contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, etc.. I suppose it’s why I overthink.

Weeds on Facebook. It’s a strange platform isn’t it. I don’t like the social aspect of FB to be honest. It’s all about photographing what is on your plate and getting 200 replies stating ‘Oooohh’s and Aaaah’s’. Much prefer WP. So much gentler.

      Cheers Sheila. All the best.

    1. Hi cookie. Sorry for not keeping in touch. I have been waiting for a second brain CT scan result. This morning this second scan result came back and said that ‘all was okay’. My first scan, an MRI head scan, was last January and the results were about a month and a half ago. It said a ‘slight bulge’ was seen and therefore the possibility of an arterial aneurism or part blockage of an artery in the brain. So it was really worrying. So, as said, it was a relief this morning getting a great result.

My blood pressure was dangerously high on hearing news of the first MRI scan. So I’ve been on blood pressure lowering tablets for a while. Never had a tablet in my whole life before these! I am now very comfortable in the systolic 115 to 120 area. So, with all the stresses over the past few months, I have not really been looking at blogs so much. Now I can get back into normality.

I haven’t done anything musically at all for months now. Must try and get back to it. So pleased you got that third album out.

All the best cookie and thank you for getting in touch. Priceless. You’re a star. 💫

      2. Thanks Destiny. Just taking a few days now to reflect on the past months. They were a bit of a stress filled period to be honest. So now it is onwards with more positivity. So be good to focus on music again. And get back to reading all of and catching up with your poems too. You take care too. All the best Destiny. 🙏🏽

  5. dear Gray,

I’m so sorry to hear that you haven’t been feeling well and that you’ve had these scares. it hits close to home for me, and I feared that might be the case because you’re always there—always near, always with a kind word of support for me and for others.

at the same time, I’m really glad to hear that you seem to be on the mend. and more than anything, I’m hoping you’ll be back on the platform soon, sharing your vibrant music, your thoughtful wisdom, and those kind words that have meant so much to all of us.

    with love,
    Cookie

    1. Thanks cookie. Your words mean a lot. It will be great to settle back into focus again. Today has been a complete change in that there is no more wondering ‘What if…’ So I can pick up the guitar again and be positive.

I will soon begin to read all the blogs from all of you that I have either skimmed over or missed over the last months. Be nice to catch up. Be great to be back to normality. All the best cookie and hope you are still finding inspirations. 💫
