Little slivers of light.

Many songs are stored away in trial files, samples and examples, try out these files. Some in the iPad and some on the Crucial External Hard Drive.

There are times when you sit in front of the Studio Display Monitor with a strange headspace going on. You’ve faffed about with three chords, E, A and B, and plinkety plonked repetitive keyboard notes on top of repetitive chord playing for about an hour.

Then a little bit of unlooked for despair enters your mind space.

‘You can’t do nowt with this lad!’ says your little inner sprite who loves to dance on your emotions.

So you hit the red record button on what is supposed to be a track for a guitar overlay and think to yourself

‘Just blurb out nonsense …….. on top of nonsense’.

So that’s what Summers did. He stepped out of his search for something worth keeping. And just spoke, and blip sang, hoping on answers to the questions that, he secretly knows, at times cannot find answers. That’s what happens when you try to catch a creative idea that behaves like smoke. And, letting smoke drift to nothingness, it felt strangely crazy happy smiley happy afterwords. Yes, not afterwards. Afterwords. Weird.

I think Fireflies are prone to Romance. That’s why they dance, with the intensity of their shine.

Yesterday was a tidy up the VeeDub Bus Day. It is a gentle VeeDub harmony of true therapeutic value when pottering about, putting things in order whilst putting the kettle on and making tea. The day before I had received little DJI microphones and receiver for using with the iPhone and iPad. I tried them out, but couldn’t get them working on the iPhone.

I did sort it out later. Learning for a technophobe comes from YouTube uploads. I thought you needed Bluetooth connectivity for getting it to work. However, I found out that the DJI Receiver unit does the work properly itself. You can use Bluetooth, but it is best to download and use App features. Once you connect the receiver to the phone …… Bob’s Your Uncle.

The aim is to video the rural surroundings where the VeeDub and myself will be parked up and simply record whatever comes to mind with a song and chatting. I needed a simple mobile way to capture everything as easily as possible.

Then it will be easy to send the recorded file in the iPad Photos to the Mac M2 and make a video on iMovie. Well! That is the intention. 🤞🏼.

So, today, it will be a case of setting up the App on both iPhone and iPad devices for the ease of using these microphones properly. Also, have a look at other little new trial songs naively sung and played into the Mac M2 home studio set up.

Below is an early capture of ‘There She Goes’.

Just Bobbling about really.
