Put this blog into WordPress ‘Draught’ status a while ago. It came to mind this morning. I was writing lyrics that had a similar vibe regarding seeking a new horizon when you feel stuck with unwanted situations.
So I’m going to reintroduce it simply as a reminder to myself to remain positive for the coming music recordings.
Writing down thoughts, not in journals, but simply to test out a few pens is a gentle past time. You can find yourself writing a couple of lines or make a choice of such considerations which can turn into an ‘almost essay’ in actuality.
However. Writing analytical reflections can become a particular hardship at times. Acceptance of the past worrisome events is much kinder when you do not dwell. They happened. They’re gone. Lighter written out thoughts are good for the soul. They provide dreams of what is and what could be.
I’ll call it being in possession of your ‘beautiful mind’. No longer judging your life. But accepting it for what it had to offer, and still offers.
Everyone can pull up their beautiful mind. To believe one is always inherent? I believe one does actually exist for real. Once found, it can bring vibrancy to one’s life and that is a wonderful realisation. The location of this beautiful mind? It’s either there on the surface, simply sitting in view and there for the taking.
Or deep down there somewhere in the body’s depths. It could be that it has been anchor dragged downwards to your ocean floor. Now hidden by repetitive thoughts of ‘oh so many worrisome occasions in life’. They’re floating in the water above your hidden, anchored beautiful mind. That anchor can be pulled up. It just takes some seeking and then some strength to pull it back through those difficult thoughts to return it into existence. It breaks the water’s surface and enters into the clear, fresh air. Some determination is required. But once found, you can then turn your view out to the sea, see a beckoning horizon, head towards it. It’s satisfying to realise a different journey is possible. To rub your hands together because new adventures await.
Wave bye bye to that swirling part of your life where you write words that are the witness to that cloud that hovers over the lonely reflective and claustrophobic repetitive. Words that tell of the every day familiar back and forth. Like a rowing boat, stuck in the estuary. It is keen to make a different journey and to visit your life’s ship which is waiting in the harbour. A little effort and you can arrive there. Look back at the dismal beach which has now been left behind. Forget the scatterings of flotsam and jetsam on the damp sand. Forget the harbour of ship in limbo. Turn. Look to a new horizon. Look at the swell of the ocean. Look at the bright skies and it’s shifting patterns of cloud formations. Look at the stars. Look at family. Look at friends. Embrace the music. Anyone or anything that gives hope, positivity and support. Look for everything and any one thing that gives true and realistic hope.
Set sails and begin to fly. The first ocean breeze that pushes you into the journey ahead will make you more confident. Help you feel a little stronger. Then stronger still as each league, and then day by day, passes by into ongoing weeks to months feeling yourself living a more wonderful and gentler existence.
