Heartbeat. Mindfulness. One on One……

One of the Buddha’s Five Rememberances.

‘All that is dear to me and everything I love are of the nature to change. There is no way to escape being separated from them’.

THE MUSIC.

A rhythmic musical Mantra?

An awaiting softly sung made up melody awaiting future words?

Or

Nothing? Just close my eyes and listen……

Breathe deeply………..Slowly.

MUSIC WRITTEN AND PLAYED BY GRAY SUMMERS.

MINDFULNESS.

Your outside is not seen

By anyone else outside,

Looking in.

Because you are inside within a place

A palace

That breathes isolating serenity.

Your inside feels awed by the possibility

Of a perfect moment in time

When you are using

Your mindful brain.

It’s bliss.

Full on non-thinking.

Then?

A crack of shimmering interruption.

Silvery, tantalising lights.

Unwanted thought.

Tempting.

Should I chase this plethora of silvery threads

To find where they could take me?

No.

Do not break perfection on a whim.

They shimmer again.

A gain!

No.

Disaster.

But there they are.

There it is.

Snowflake, snowfall, translucent and beautifully silvery white.

Like shimmering liquid alabaster.

Dream thought

Impossible not to chase

Or Touch.

Its threads akin to grimoire inclusions.

A chance taken?

Perchance to fall?

Perchance to fail?

‘Obviously, no.

Perchance to dream’, they whisper.

Tendril threads

Dance with glee.

Not sinisterly.

But in sincerity.

Singing soft swished swirling notes

And waiting patiently.

Hoping. Probing.

Using their own sweeping

Ethereal sung dream.

Mind inside pushes aside.

Ignoring the outcomes.

Envisaging

By not looking

Not listening

At all.

The Mind already knows.

That the inner soul, when once settled,

Provides its own magical spell.

    1. Thank you Maggie. It’s really just experimenting and learning ‘how to’ with the GarageBand system. Fun to just keep layering notes on notes really. Never sure if they are suited working alongside each other or not. Becomes Mindful in its own process of focus need. Cheers and all the best.

    1. Thank you. It was a quick update on a photography observation I made a while back about latent imagery and the unseen nature of having something hidden in the films negative awaiting the developing intervention to bring it to life. Seemed apt. So changed word focus to meditation and the process of hanging separately and out of real time. The silvery tendrils sitting on the edge of the Mindful mind.

  1. I love this one. I have it now playing on my computer as it brings me to the hilly islands of Batanes here in Philippines. It’s amazing how music can bring back fond memories of places one has visited and never forgot about, a core memory. Thank you for this music.

    1. Thank you for this kind comment. When you mentioned ‘hilly’ islands, I took a quick look on Google images to see how they compared to the hillsides here in Wales. And yes, they are very similar. Green expanses that do compare to here locally. And many other parts of Wales too. So maybe that is why the music ambience has that resonance with your memories. Maybe, when one is songwriting, there is a tendency to be influenced by surroundings. So glad it linked to your past experiences in a good way. So, once again, thank you for your feedback. Cheers and all the best.

    1. Thank you for persevering and getting to the end Destiny. And your perfect reaction of ‘ah/aaaw. I played the music when I wrote the words and tried to create a rhythmic word play with this. But it’s different every time. As a songwriter it sometimes happens that some lines break into a little melodic accompaniment. It did with this one certainly. It’ll probably end up with its own full melody and become a Mantra for creating a nice escape place for myself to visit every so often. Or then again, maybe not. Go with the flow in life. What’s meant to be is meant to be. Could well be a transient and fleeting written piece ideal for that one resulting restful period spent in one difficult day.

Nice to read your new poems and good to see you back writing again. Hope you had a restful break. Cheers Destiny.

    1. I’m so happy you have got in touch cookie. I kept looking to see if you were writing again. Your past recent words have said that this time of year isn’t exactly cookie friendly and impacts terribly. Your words ‘I am not so well’ indicates the present still. So please build slowly and take your time in getting the cookie we all see as an inspiration back again. I guess Springtime cannot come too soon for you either. Thank you for your kind words on my mantra words written here. You always give thoughtful positivity. Keep safe cookie. All the best. 🙏🏽 you’re a star. 💫
