    1. Thank you Brenda. Self belief wobbles presently,…….so starting to focus inwardly and realise that self belief actually is in there and exists I suppose. I blame the awful rainy and damp weather. 😊

      1. I agree with the weather. Its been horrible. Some inward reflection can always be worthwhile. Allows you to calm the negative whispers so you can focus on what you need to do

      2. It’s the rain and wind combination really. Isn’t letting up at all is it. Also, the recent music project is ‘scratch the head’ perplexing re: learning and altering all over again. But that is amazing to be honest. Hope you are keeping well Brenda.

      3. I’m good. Like you, just fed up with the weather. My roof started leaking. The factors say it’ll be Friday before someone will be out … I phoned on Wednesday… 10 days is ridiculous!
Are you enjoying working on your music? It must be strange to work and renew old work, but im sure it’ll be worthwhile. It all seems very exciting

      4. We had a leak in our bathroom flat roof which affected two upstairs rooms, bathroom and the landing area. So I can sympathise with your predicament. We can never find anyone here for essential jobs either. Let’s hope for a dry spell for you. Music is great to be a distraction and, yes, really enjoying it. Be nice to all be closer though. The medium of sending ideas between us, whichever way we can, is okay. But not ideal. I feel the New Year will provide a fresh impetus. Thank you Brenda for the comments. Fingers crossed for sunshine or at least a dry outlook. 🤞🏼

    1. Deliberating is something occurring regularly presently. All this music to work out again. Also. I like trying to capture this clean shape as a photo. I do have a similar photograph of a hotel roof. This photo had a blog written around it. Philosophical attempt at the time. Can’t remember when though! Thank you Sheila for your comment.

      1. I hear you about “all this music” to work out/through. I am excited to hear it when it has percolated/brewed to its fullest expression. I’m listening to some old Don Henley today, and some new stuff to spark my thoughts on our new song (that the meter and melody still befuddles me—Doesn’t help that hubs is making changes to the guitar work too. Haha!)
Anyway, yes, the contrast between the roof and sky intrigues me.

      2. Working out melody and old riffs can be difficult. Between the XCerts sound and now has been nearly 45 years of influences. It is so different too to be playing on your own. Rehearsals were inspirational back then. So this is a very weird experience. You, yourself, will suddenly find that ‘it clicks’ moment. My brother throws curve balls my way too re: guitar. I find myself changing bass playing that has been practiced over a few hours. Start a different style or key. Helps though with the art of getting skills improved in relearning. The roof and sky? Taken in Spain on a hotel balcony. The sky was inky black. So a great contrast to the cream/white painted underside curve of the roof/balcony projection above. Cheers Sheila.

      3. It always clicks Sheila. And when you least expect it to. I’ve been singing quite often lately and the right phrasing and note reach is but a whisker away. The same with yourself. You will smile at your sudden achievement within a moment of inspiration. All the best.
